What is Rovers?

Rovers are a youth section of Scouting for young people aged 18 to 25. We meet weekly on Friday nights from 8pm, usually at our den behind St. John’s Uniting Church in Essendon. We enjoy a range of activities at the den but also regularly participate in outdoor activities such as camping, bowling, motor sport (where we race our buggy All Barred Up), laser tag, rock climbing and paint balling. We also participate in a number of state events with hundreds of other Rovers throughout the state.

We give back to the younger sections and community through running events such as camps and participating in working bees at Rowallan Scout Camp. We are a section run entirely by the members, for the members, meaning from the very start new members get to have a say in what we put on our program.

Most of all, we’re a great group of friends and we’re always open to new members, so visit our contact page and get started on your Scouting adventure.
